Grape scissors - .950 silver, Vermeil

Splendid and authentic pair of table grape scissors from the late 19th century (Napoleon III era), in VERMEIL.
This exceptional item intended for tableware bears witness to the great refinement of bourgeois entertaining of the era. It was used to cleanly cut the stems of grape clusters without damaging the berries.
Material: Vermeil, i.e., sterling silver coated with a thin layer of gold.
The authenticity of the precious metal is officially guaranteed by the Minerva head assay mark, 1st Title (high-purity 950/1000 fine silver).
Patina: The original gilding has been subtly and pleasantly dulled by time, offering beautiful light gold reflections ("slightly gilded") typical of authentic collectible pieces.
Prestige design: Rare model with four-ring handles (double stacked rings) richly chased with fluted and ribbed motifs in pure Neoclassical/Louis XVI style.
Dimensions: Ideal total length of 14.5 cm.
Condition: Very good overall condition, no deformation of the rings, the cutting mechanism works perfectly.
