Franz Lenhart - Grafitalia già PIZZI e PIZIO - Estate nelle Dolomiti - 1940s

"Estate nelle Dolomiti" is a famous tourist advertising poster created by the Austrian-born Italian artist and poster designer Franz Joseph Lenhart around 1940. The work is considered one of the foremost examples of twentieth-century advertising billposting and of promoting summer tourism in South Tyrol. Lenhart was one of the leading figures of tourist propaganda in Italy, inseparably tying his name to the promotion of historic localities such as Cortina d'Ampezzo, Madonna di Campiglio, and Val Gardena. The poster bears marks in the central part, probably due to restoration.
