Ecclesiastical chalice in metal

Liturgical chalice, characterized by rich relief decoration and a marked figurative emphasis. The cup, partially gilded, features a smooth upper surface and a wide underset base adorned with finely worked floral and vegetal motifs.

The stem, articulated in several nodes, is embellished with a full-round angel figure, while at the base a composition of angels and ornamental motifs develops. The poly-lobed foot, particularly elaborated, features medallions, scrolls, foliage and relief decorations.

The whole recalls the tradition of Baroque and late Baroque chalices, in which vegetal elements, cherubs and sacred figures were combined through repoussé, chasing, and casting.
