PAIRED SET OF ANTIQUE JEWEL BOXES / ORIENTAL REPOUSÉ COVERS – SILVER-PLATED METAL

Beautiful and decorative pair of antique oriental jewelry boxes or chests, made of silver-toned metal and richly decorated with repoussé, chiseling and engraving.
The set consists of two boxes of different sizes, both circular in shape with domed lids, hinged and with front closures.

The large box features rich decoration distributed in radial panels, with vegetal motifs and arabesques. Notably, the upper relief crest with a lion's head, as well as the elaborate front closure inspired by oriental design.

The small box presents especially detailed decoration, with floral, vegetal, geometric and ornamental relief motifs. The top is capped by a large circular medallion with stylized floral decoration.

Both pieces retain an attractive royal blue velvet lining on the interior, both on the base and inside the lids, creating a beautiful contrast with the exterior metal.

Estado de conservación: good overall condition considering its age, with patina, oxidation and natural darkening of the metal, small scratches, wear, slight dents and signs of use. The interior velvet preserves a deep blue color, though it shows wear, marks and small particles typical of the passage of time. Hinges and clasps present. Sold exactly as shown in the photographs.
