Okay, THIS is why I love finding the weird, rare CHANEL pieces. It isn’t another black flap that you’ll scroll past fifteen more times tonight.

This is CHANEL’s Crystal CC AirPods Pro & Phone Case With Chain, a wonderfully over-the-top little 2020 design combining a vertical quilted phone holder with its matching removable miniature AirPods Pro case. Fashionphile independently documents this exact black caviar model as a 2020 design, right down to its 4” x 6.75” proportions and removable coordinating case.

Both pieces are crafted in beautifully textured black diamond-quilted caviar and finished with gold-tone hardware. But obviously the stars are those incredible dimensional CC emblems — a mosaic-like arrangement of black, ivory and soft gray resin/crystal-style pieces individually set into gold-tone interlocking CCs.

The miniature case can hang from the chain as part of the design or be removed, giving you a seriously fun little two-piece CHANEL set. The main case has enough room for a phone and small essentials, while the interior card slots eliminate the need to carry a separate cardholder.

• Excellent Pre-Owned Condition

This set is in AMAZING Excellent Pre-Owned Condition with no flaws worth noting.

The black caviar leather on both pieces is absolutely beautiful — rich, clean and exceptionally well preserved with gorgeous texture, full diamond quilting and excellent structure.

The corners, edges and bases present beautifully with no significant rubbing, scuffing, staining, discoloration or damage. The leather woven throughout the chain is equally clean and well preserved.

Both statement Crystal CC emblems remain beautiful and intact, including the individual decorative elements. The gold-tone hardware presents beautifully, and the coordinating removable mini case is just as impressive as the main piece.

The interior is exceptionally clean and the overall presentation is outstanding.

There simply isn’t a condition issue here that warrants calling out. For a collectible CHANEL small leather good from 2020 — especially one retaining its matching removable companion piece — this is an exceptional example.

The correct model is the CHANEL Caviar Quilted Crystal CC AirPods Pro & Phone Case With Chain, and the black version is independently documented by Fashionphile as a 2020 design. Fashionphile records the model at approximately 4” x 6.75” x 1” with roughly a 21.5”–22.25” chain drop.

The configuration is particularly collectible because CHANEL designed it as a coordinated set with the miniature matching case. Fashionphile has documented complete examples with the removable pouch as well as examples where that original component had already been lost.

The 30-Series hologram 30943745 is also consistent with the supplied 2020 production period, making this an early Virginie Viard-era novelty piece.
