Antique Kris / Keris Hilt - Donoriko Style - Madura, Indonesia - 19th Century - Sperm Whale Tooth (Physeter macrocephalus) with Expert Report
For sale is a finely carved antique keris hilt in Donoriko style, originating from Madura Island, Indonesia, 19th century.
Material: Sperm whale tooth (Physeter macrocephalus) - marine ivory with a deep honey patina consistent with age. Carved in high relief with floral motifs and shield decoration typical for Donoriko / Togog form.
Dimensions: 9.5 x 4 cm, weight approx. 140-160 grams.
Condition: Good antique condition, showing age and use. Natural patina, no recent repairs.
Provenance & Documentation:
• Comes with Expert Report No. 00276 dated 08-02-2024 by Andeweg Taxaties, registered appraiser
• Physically examined, confirmed as Physeter macrocephalus, Madura Indonesia 19th century
