An attractive oil on canvas belonging to the French school of the first half of the 20th century, in which a painter is depicted working outdoors in the interior of a courtyard surrounded by traditional buildings and abundant vegetation.

The artist's presence at his easel constitutes the true narrative center of the composition. Located in the middle zone of the painting, he appears focused on executing a work, turning the scene into an interesting representation of the very act of painting. This motif, frequent in modern French painting, links the work to the practice of plein air painting, based on direct observation of the surroundings and the immediate capture of light and atmosphere.
