Description from the seller

HERITAGE SCULPTURE CAMELON (shifting from green to purple) by Jean-François Piecourt, all in thermolaquered steel, edition of 499 copies with random numbering, hand-signed
21 x 9 x 7 cm

MY ART
My work rests on a fully mastered creation process, at the border between industrial design and contemporary sculpture.
Each piece is born from designing an original 3D model, then cut into a succession of planes.
Each plane is redrawn, reworked, and sculpted individually, giving birth to a sculpture within a sculpture, where each slice has its own reading. The whole is then laser-cut from raw steel, and assembled manually through a precise mechanical montage, slice by slice.
Once the work is assembled, it is powder-coated with epoxy, sealing the material and delivering a durable, homogeneous finish—the final signature of the piece.
