Sagrasse, Fly together, a resin sculpture measuring 52 × 24 × 12 cm, limited edition 499 in white and red, hand-signed, 2024, Italy.
Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life runs deep in artisanal craftsmanship. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of the Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting and chrome plating.
The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and suspension of time transform into an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept within. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, demonstrating that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Show "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works in the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From artisan to signature figure of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime’s experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has liberated the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly into the trail of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is an artisanal work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of the workmanship.
