Maddox Robins is a contemporary abstract artist based in Spain, with over ten years of professional experience. Throughout his career, he has developed a distinctive artistic language centred on colour, movement and emotional expression. His work has been exhibited in Spain and Japan in galleries, institutional spaces and art fairs, and his paintings are held in private collections.

Maddox's practice is rooted in contemporary abstraction with colour taking centre stage in his compositions. For him, colour is not simply an element of the painting but its main character. Individual colours interact, contrast and blend with one another, creating movement, rhythm and emotional depth within each work. His paintings reflect both the contemporary art environment and his own internal thoughts and experiences.

His creative process is intuitive and expressive. Strong brushstrokes, layered applications of paint and a wide variety of artistic tools allow each composition to evolve organically. Rather than relying entirely on a predetermined outcome, Maddox allows the painting to develop through an ongoing dialogue between colour, gesture, texture and composition.

A fundamental aspect of his practice is the transformation of personal emotions into something positive. Although his current practice focuses primarily on acrylic paint on canvas, Maddox has developed his artistic skills through working with a variety of mediums and supports, including paper, mixed media and oil. This experience has allowed him to continually explore different approaches to surface, texture, colour and expression.

Over the years, Maddox has exhibited his work in Spain and Japan, participating in exhibitions held in institutional spaces, galleries and art fairs.
