Magic Jewelry Box / Moroccan Puzzle Box in Thuya root wood, late 20th century.
Solid Thuya root wood (Tetraclinis articulata), with ebony/dark wood inlays on the lid.
Hidden mechanical opening system operated by rotation. Rotating the top panel activates the concertina expansion of four small square secret compartments/drawers. In good working order.
Excellent condition. The mechanism is perfectly functional, the wood with natural shine and preserved original patina, with no cracks or structural faults.
