Tile - 1850-1900 - Antique Frisian earthenware

Atmospheric antique Frisian earthenware tile tableau with a maritime scene of a traditionally dressed child with a sailing boat. The hand-painted tableau is framed by a nicely painted wooden frame with floral and foliate motifs.

Probably dating from the early 20th century. On the back no clear factory mark visible. The piece is in used, authentic condition with appropriate signs of aging.

A characterful piece of Dutch/Frisian folk art.
