​An exceptionally rare and dramatic original French color lithograph poster for the British Circus Music-Hall Impérator, advertising the sensation act "La Cible Humaine" (The Human Target). The dramatic artwork depicts a knife-throwing act featuring a performer in Native American regalia throwing knives around a female assistant pinned against a wooden board.
​Printed in Paris by Affiches Louis Galice, 99 Fg St Denis, Paris (marked along the upper left margin). Louis Galice was a famous Parisian printing house active around the turn of the 20th century, highly regarded for producing striking circus, cabaret, and fairground posters. The poster has been professionally linen-backed for conservation.
