Antique wooden tennis racket, estimated to date from circa the 1930s.
The racket features a distinctive open-throat construction, traditional oval wooden frame, triangular wooden throat reinforcement, red decorative details and a dark wrapped grip.
This is an attractive example of early wooden tennis equipment and has been preserved in authentic, unrestored vintage condition.
Approximate dimensions:
Total length: 68 cm
Maximum head width: 21 cm
The racket shows clear signs of age and use, including scratches, marks, wear and ageing of the wooden frame and handle. The stringing is also aged, with several strings loose, displaced or damaged. These condition details are clearly visible in the photographs.
