Description from the seller
Our planet is not a bowling ball: the work addresses the issue of climate change, sending a clear message: “Earth is not a game ball.” This contemporary sculpture, created by the artist couple Francioni Mastromarino, depicts a bowling ball with the continents carved in relief, transformed into a globe. A symbolic interpretation that fuses two images: the Earth with the three characteristic holes of a bowling ball.
The authors denounce the disdainful behavior toward climate agreements, highlighting the risk of treating climate change and the safeguarding of our only planet with superficiality as if it were a game.
Authentic autograph by the authors.
The materials used reflect a concrete commitment to the environment. Eco-sustainable mortars, inspired by bioarchitecture, are mixed with rice husk, a by-product of the rice milling process that Francioni Mastromarino have long used in their works, and when mixed with the mortars this ensures the durability of the piece. This choice not only reduces environmental impact but also integrates the message of the work: respect for the planet must start from even the smallest details.
A sculpture with strong visual and ethical impact, perfect for those who want a work of art that makes one think about the future of our world.
The sculpture is the result of the synergy of two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a couple in art and in love who have been working together for about 20 years in their studio in Pietrasanta, Tuscany.
The chosen materials minimize the pollutant percentage, as does the use of cardboard scrap as padding for the shipment. The sculpture is carefully packaged in a very sturdy box and shipped by express courier. All our collectors are highly satisfied with the sturdiness of our packaging.
With our sculptures we are present in private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, USA, Switzerland, Romania, United Kingdom, Poland, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, United Arab Emirates and Italy.
