I create paintings using acrylic colours and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper becomes art instead of ending up in the trash.

In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the latest pieces I have made.

On these scraps of paper one can read words and phrases scattered here and there.
It often happens when we really get close to another person: sometimes we perceive their secret messages, sometimes not.

The work is sold framed and ready to hang thanks to the hook on the back.

The surface features small reliefs and I enjoy caressing it, feeling it...
I also use acrylic resin on the surface, which gives a glossy effect and protects the colors from sunlight and dust.

I use DHL/UPS courier: shipping within Europe arrives in 24/48 hours; international shipping arrives in 48/72 hours. Some delays may be caused by customs clearance at borders.

Different light sources can give different colors to the photos.
The sizes may vary slightly as I personally prepare the wooden frame, stretch the canvas and mount it on the frame.

Born in 1974 I am self-taught.

After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a long stop of almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the “two dimensions” for time and space reasons, leaving sculpture aside and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.

I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people both imaginary and real.

For me painting is about “stopping time” at that exact moment; one of my paintings is often a faded memory and thus my works are “worn, eroded by time.” Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that – over time – grow on the surface.
Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I adore sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs perceptible to the touch as well as to the naked eye.

Recently, after several years in which my works were made from scraps of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids repeated with mathematical rigor that from up close seem to form a colored abstract painting but the further you go, the more a portrait emerges from the many painted wooden discs.
Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not dolls of their partners and they cannot be mistreated or, worse, victims of violence.
