Cobalt Sentinel is a sculpture that transforms a pop culture icon into a genuine contemporary object.

SKE here reclaims one of the most instantly recognizable elements: this helmeted head with large side horns, stripped of its traditional colors to be completely reinterpretated in a deep metallic cobalt blue.

The change of material and color completely alters the perception of the piece. The lines become more graphic, the volumes more present, and the paint reflections play with every edge of the sculpture. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the blue shifts from almost electric tones to much darker hues.

The finish deliberately avoids the look of a simple 3D-printed object. After being produced in PLA in the artist’s workshop, each sculpture undergoes a genuine finishing process before receiving a metallic cobalt blue car-paint, then a glossy varnish that enhances the depth of the color and gives it that nearly automotive appearance.

With 30 cm in width and 22 cm in height, Cobalt Sentinel has a particularly strong presence.

Through this piece, SKE continues his work around images that have built a collective memory, pushing them toward the realm of contemporary art and collectible objects. The reference remains immediately identifiable, but the monochrome, metallic, and sculptural treatment offers a new, much more streamlined reading.

SKE is a self-taught French artist with a wide-ranging practice who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his artistic works.

He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.

After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. He won the first prize at the Urban Master competition (2023), then was named Discovery of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also featured in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.

His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend in the last two years, strengthening the appeal of his creations among collectors.
