Italian Nobility Yearbook 2010, XXXI edition (December 2010) - new series
It consists of 4 volumes in a rigid slipcase, bound in red cloth with gilt ornaments and dry-engraved gold engravings, in 4to format (cm 29 x 21); 8,600 pages in total, of which 200 are plates; over 30,000 coats of arms in black and white, portraits and views of castles and palaces; weight 24 kg.
To better preserve the work, the volumes are enclosed in a red cloth slipcase with gold lettering.
The structure of the Yearbook is organized into 5 main parts, namely:
Part I: families already Sovereign in the old Italian States and the Royal House of Italy;
Part II: noble families listed in the official registers of the Kingdom of Italy;
Part III: noble families subdivided into: a) pontifical titled after 1870; b) families ennobled by the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta or admitted into the same chivalric order; c) families ennobled by King of Italy Umberto II after 1947; d) families admitted into chivalric orders with proofs of nobility for reception after the fall of the Kingdom of Italy, or those ennobling;
Part IV: families bearing the title of "generous nobility", especially from pre-unitarian states, which, however, were not recognized by the Kingdom of Italy and are therefore not included in the preceding parts;
Part V: Italian "notable" families, i.e., houses possessing a coat of arms and living a noble life, but formally not recognized as nobility; Index.
