“Indigo” arises from my interest in exploring the depth and the different intensities of blue that I find in the Mediterranean. The work belongs to my Series “Sea,” where I use abstraction to express sensations and atmospheres more than to represent a specific landscape.
In this piece I’m especially interested in how blue can transform space and create a sense of distance, breadth, and quiet.
Painted entirely by hand with acrylic on canvas, “Indigo” is a contemporary, unique, and original abstract work.

About the artist:

My name is Gaby Acevedo. I am a visual artist. I live and produce my works in Spain. For more than 25 years I have developed an artistic practice focused on contemporary abstract painting, where color and light are the pillars of my visual language.

My work arises from research into the relationship between form, color, and perception. Each series answers a different exploration, but all share the aim of transforming the visual experience into a language open to emotion and free interpretation.

Each work is unique and made entirely by hand in my studio with high-quality professional materials. All my paintings are signed, dated, and delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
