AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

“Lucky Night” is a painting by Flavia Delgado inspired by the nocturnal universe of the casino, gambling and glamour. The composition adopts a top-down perspective over a green table where several hands hold cards, accompanied by poker chips and an elegant martini glass, building a scene charged with tension and sophistication.

The work uses an intense palette of petrol green, red, black, white and yellow, with strongly outlined black contours and flat colors that directly recall Pop Art, American comics and vintage advertising illustration. Its visual language shows affinities with the popular graphic culture associated with Roy Lichtenstein, reinterpreted from a contemporary and decorative aesthetic.

The red-nail hands, the cards, the chips and the cocktail turn the game into a small narration about chance, risk, fortune and nightlife. The big red text “LUCKY NIGHT” functions as an authentic retro poster slogan and reinforces the cinematic energy of the scene.

An especially attractive piece for collectors of Pop Art, contemporary figurative art, casino aesthetics, poker, Las Vegas, comics, vintage poster art and American culture, as well as for modern interiors, bars, gaming rooms and leisure spaces.

Seller's Story

I present a pictorial work line strongly linked to illustration and artistic poster design. My works combine the language of classic poster art with the plastic freedom of contemporary painting: flat colors, defined contours, direct scenes, and a clear narrative sense. My work dialogues with the tradition of 20th-century poster art, especially with the universe of Art Deco and European and North American advertising posters, where authors like A. M.. Cassandre, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, and Leonetto Cappiello used synthetic imagery and color for visual impact. There are also affinities with European comic graphics and the clear line, from Hergé to modern editorial illustration. In my paintings, I depict interiors, architectures, figures, and travel scenes—such as roads, vintage cars, or landscapes—approached from a graphic perspective reminiscent of posters and illustrated books, but transferred to the realm of painting on paper and canvas. I aim for each image to function like a frame or a narrative poster, capable of suggesting a broader story without needing to explain it.
