A rare and exceptional heavy decorative bowl of hand-blown artistic glass (art glass studio). Crafted by the renowned French master glassblower (Maître Verrier) Robert Pierini in his workshop in Biot, southern France. This particular piece was a prestigious corporate commission executed in a limited edition for the legendary French glassmaking house “Saint-Gobain Desjonquères” (the historic leader in the production of exclusive perfume flasks). Artistic features: The bowl is characterized by a dynamic, spiraling pattern of intertwining cannes in turquoise (aqua), deep cobalt, and violet. The design is completely embedded in a thick, opaque layer of transparent, pristine glass. The piece showcases Pierini’s mastery of light and space. Signatures and marks: On the polished base (pontil) of the vessel is the original, handwritten engraving: In the upper part: “ST Gobain Desjonqueres” In the center: the artist’s signature “R Pierini” Dimensions: Height: 9 cm Width/Diameter: 16 cm Depth: 16 cm Item status: Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or signs of repair. The glass is clean and clear. Normal signs of use. On the underside, only minimal, natural wear from age (shelf wear) is visible.
