Terrestrial table globe - Dr Arthus Krause - 1950-1960

Beautiful small globe of 20 cm diameter, designed by Dr Arthus Krause and published by Paul Räth.
Normally these beautiful small globes are mounted on a Bakelite or wooden base; this one, however, is mounted on a heavy cast-iron base, in the same shape as the Bakelite and wooden bases. This is truly very rare. It makes the globe very stable and easy to rotate without wobbling.
The globe itself is in truly excellent condition. The colors are still very fresh and the lacquer is still perfect.
