On this square format, Medsan places Pikachu alone at the center of a deep black background, standing on its hind legs and turned three-quarters. The Pokemon character lifts its head, its zigzag mouth barely open, and looks outside the frame: a small white dot lights up in each of its large brown eyes. Its two round cheeks are a vivid red, its long ears end in dark brown, and its tail with a lightning bolt rises behind it, speckled with brown at the base.

A fine network of pale cracks runs across its body, overlaid with wide golden lines that descend from the top of the head, pass along the back, skirt the pale belly, and rise along the tail. Behind it, the black is not uniform: slate-blue veins run through it like extinguished lightning bolts. In the bottom right, the cartouche メドサン, in pale gray. The tender yellow and warm gold alone hold the light.
