Medsan presents Sakura Castle Dancer (桜と城の舞姫) – UNIQUE WORK, a 2026 signed hand-drawn giclée on canvas (40 x 60 cm), edition limitée 1/1, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1
In this vertical format, Medsan places a kimono-clad dancer with her back to the viewer, captured in mid-turn. The left arm extends outward, the sleeve fully spread behind her; her hair is gathered into a bun pierced by a pin, a few strands escaping in the movement, and a second golden pin with a dangling pendant floats in the air to her right, as if carried by the gesture.
The garment opens wide onto a white Japanese castle with layered roofs, raised on a broad ochre stone plinth, surrounded by blooming cherry trees. Pink petals drift all around, even into the cream background, with some gray patches and a touch of pale apricot. In the bottom right corner, the red cartouche reads メドサン. The deep black of the kimono, the pink of the cherry blossoms, and the white of the castle comprise the whole palette. A woman carries an entire city in her dance turn.
A piece that is both sober and spectacular, ideal for adding a touch of Japaniness to a contemporary collector’s interior who cherishes calm atmospheres.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living contemporary creation that is diverse. Installed as a true artistic production space, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work influenced by cinematic and realistic aesthetics. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, art brut, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, made, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
Keywords:
Medsan, Atelier Joconde, Le Yack, Japanese dancer, kimono, geisha, Japanese castle, Himeji, sakura, cherry blossoms, Japan, black and pink, Vertical format, Contemporary, Unique work, 1/1
Ambiance visual created by artificial intelligence to illustrate wall presentation (non-contractual).
