Charming pair of vintage Italian silver-laminated figurines by Laminato AG / R. Argento.
1. Teddy Bear
Marked: R. ARGENTO 925‰ MADE IN ITALY
Weight: 33 grams
Dimensions: approx. 4.5 × 4 × 4.5 cm
Features a turquoise enamel bow and textured “fur” details.
2. Elephant (trunk raised)
Marked: MADE IN ITALY + Laminato AG
Weight: 44 grams
Dimensions: approx. 4 × 4.5 × 6 cm
Classic “good luck” pose with raised trunk.
Both pieces are crafted in the classic Italian Laminato AG technique: a thick layer of .925 silver laminated over a resin/composite core. This method, popular among Italian workshops (including Arde and related makers), produces a compact, highly reflective finish that is more substantial than ordinary silver plating.
Production period: 1970s–1990s (typical for Laminato AG / R. Argento decorative animal figurines).
Condition: Good vintage condition with original shine and light age-related patina/wear consistent with age. Comes with an organza pouch
