The Burney Relief, also known as the Queen of the Night, is an important terracotta high-relief from Mesopotamia dating to the Early Babylonian period (circa 1800-1750 B.C.).
It represents a nude female deity with wings facing downward, raptor-like talons instead of feet, and a horned tiara (a symbol of divinity). The figure holds in her hand the symbols of power (the scepter and the ring) and is flanked by two owls, while her feet rest on two lions.
