Original advertising poster (offset lithography), dating to around 1950. In the early 1950s, the advertising studio Peso received the assignment for several poster highlights that would promote the excursion day at a special train fare to the Antwerp Zoo. The fifties-style language of the design immediately stands out. Allegedly, the young Eastern Lowland gorilla 'Gust' is depicted, then the public's favorite par excellence.

Originele reclame-affiche (offsetlithografie), te dateren omstreeks 1950. De reclame-studio Peso kreeg in het begin van de jaren '50 van vorige eeuw de opdracht voor enkele affiche-blikvangers die de uitstapdag aan speciaal tarief per trein naar de dierentuin Antwerpen in de verf moesten zetten. De fifties-vormentaal van het ontwerp valt meteen op. Naar verluidt wordt de jonge oostelijke laaglandgorilla 'Gust' afgebeeld, toen de lieveling bij uitstek van het publiek.
