Active in Ukraine from 1999 to 2014, the studio was devoted to the aesthetics of bygone decades - from the mid-19th century to the 1960s.
I have always been fascinated by the beauty of the past - its light, its elegance, its ability to idealise reality just enough to make it poetic.
As a former theatre director and antique dealer, I combined stage direction, knowledge of style, and a sense of time's texture in my photography.

"RetroAtelier" was my way to turn a photo session into a small journey through time - to make modern people believable in another century.
Everything you see was created by hand - with real cameras, real post-processing, and real women - no artificial intelligence involved.
Only creativity, light, and inspiration.
