Description from the seller
Laurena Dier (Austria)
"SLOW BURN", 2026
Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 70 × 210 cm (H × W)
Unique
"Slow Burn" is a large-format, figurative-abstract work from Laurena Dier's current body of work. The strongly cropped female figure extends across the unusually wide panorama format. Expressive contours meet free color fields in turquoise, pink, apricot, black and broken light tones. Through the fragmented representation and the deliberately unnatural color palette, the work moves between portrait, figure study and abstraction.
The piece was created in several painterly layers with visible brushstrokes, overlays and partially left-open structures. The interplay of physical proximity and graphic reduction is characteristic for the works of dila.vin studio.
Signature: signed on the front lower right.
Provenance: directly from the artist’s studio.
Documentation: certificate of authenticity will be provided with the work.
Condition: very good, like-new condition.
Shipping: rolled, without stretcher, unframed.
About the artist
Laurena Dier is an Austrian artist and designer who works under the name dila.vin studio. Her training in media and graphic design informs her distinctive fusion of painting, color and graphic imagery.
At the center of her work are expressive, often strongly cropped portraits and figures. Bold contours, deliberately unnatural skin tones, intense color contrasts and free, partly abstract areas meet unusual perspectives and an immediate, gestural painting style. Laurena is less interested in the classical likeness of a person than in their presence, posture and emotional tension.
In 2026 her works were seen, among other venues, at Trauner KUNST Stücken as well as in a charity art exhibition at the Lokschuppm Klaus. Other works were presented in 2026 in the Gmunden area; for October 2026 a group exhibition at OKH Vöcklabruck is also planned. Several original works are already in private hands.
In addition to her independent artistic activity, Laurena also works professionally in the field of graphic design and visual communication. Under dila.vin studio she continuously develops her figurative-expressive visual language and increasingly focuses on large-format works with strong spatial presence.
