LORIN - Between states - Phase 1

Original painting by LORIN, part of an ongoing research into the human figure that emerges from tactile surfaces and color. Lorin's research focuses on the female figure as an emotional and symbolic space, where presence, identity, and perception meet.

"Between States" is a series devoted to those moments in life when we find ourselves between two states: we no longer fully belong to what we were, but we have not yet become what we will be. The series arises precisely from the idea of exploring this intermediate territory, made of transformations, changes and identities that slowly take on a new form.
In "Between States" the figure seems to emerge from matter and at the same time blend with it. It is the moment of a journey, the moment when something is changing but its direction cannot yet be understood.
