Ecclesiastical chalice - 28 cm - Metal, Silverplated - 1950-1960

Metal chalice from the latter half of the 20th century, in Baroque style and made using lost-wax casting. Niellé cup and presence of floral decorations on the body with inlays of colored glass cameos, all with rich ornamentation on the base and the rest of the chalice. The central figure features the young Christ with a lamb on his shoulders, meant to symbolize the 'Good Shepherd'. The silvering was cleaned a few years ago and its measurements are 28 cm in height and a base diameter of 13 cm, with a total weight of about 1115 grams. This chalice, together with others in my possession, comes from an auction following the closure of a well-known ecclesiastical supplies shop. Due to current regulations it cannot be shipped outside the European Union.
