Cream buckram boards with gilt decoration and titles. In good clean condition, with just a touch of marking / darkening to parts. Gold printed end papers with bookplate to the inside front board. The first couple of pages (including the title page) have light foxing. The rest of the book is clean and neat, with a little marking to the bottom edges of the glossy pages.
96 leaves each printed to the recto only (so 192 pages). Each page is decorated with beautiful engravings alongside fairy tales told as ballads (in verse). 15 of the pages are full page plates. A very attractive work.

We are often found at brocantes and marches, searching for books and prints. We are also always interested in acquiring new stock from individuals, so if you have books or prints to sell, do get in touch.
We are proud to purchase biodegradable packaging and materials. Where possible, all of our book wrap and tape are compostable or re-cyclable. If you do receive any plastic bubble wrap from us - it is because we are re-using items we have received.
