Description from the seller
This is a rare stemmed bowl from the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1488-1505). This piece is exquisitely crafted, uniquely shaped, and meticulously made. Elegance and grandeur permeate its entire surface. The base is inscribed with a six-character mark: "Made in the Hongzhi Reign of the Great Ming Dynasty." Stemmed bowls or cups made during the Hongzhi reign required the personal inspection of the Hongzhi Emperor upon completion, demonstrating his high regard for such works. Furthermore, yellow glaze has always been considered a highly recognizable color, reserved for imperial celebrations. This elegant and dignified piece is extremely rare and a true treasure.
