Description from the seller
Set consisting of 5 long drink glasses, Bubble model, designed by architect and designer Sergio Asti for the historic Italian crystal maker Arnolfo di Cambio, dating from the late 1960s to early 1970s. The pieces feature the characteristic clean cylindrical line with a thick heavy base that encloses the famous and iconic controlled air bubble. The peculiarity of this service lies in the use of precious neodymium crystal (Alexandrite glass), known for its dichroic properties. The material visibly changes shade depending on the light spectrum: it appears in an elegant violet/lilac color under natural light or warm incandescent light, then shifts toward a light blue/celestial shade when exposed to fluorescent or cool artificial lights. All 5 glasses are in excellent vintage condition, with no chips on the rims, no cracks, or glass opacities. The original box or paper labels from the era are not present. I guarantee an extremely careful professional packaging, with individual protection in bubble wrap and a reinforced box to ensure the pieces’ integrity during transport.
