Beautiful Japanese bronze okimono "Muga Doji" (The Selfless Child) - Complete in original box - metal alloying - Japan - Shōwa period (1926-1989)

An exceptionally complete and absolutely pristine Japanese bronze okimono (decorative figurine) named "Muga Doji" (無我童子), which means "The Selfless Child" or "Child of Non-Being".

This iconic and serene design is inspired by the famous 1897 masterpiece by the legendary Nihonga painter Yokoyama Taikan. The figure embodies pure Zen spirituality, innocence, and inner peace. The piece is crafted in the renowned bronze region of Takaoka and is beautifully finished in two colors: a warm gold-toned face paired with a deep green patinated mantle.

Unique complete set:
This lot is unique because it has been kept in unused condition with all original accessories that typically disappear over time:
• The bronze figurine itself (in perfect condition).
• The original green-marble gift box with the original label: 美術置物 (Bijutsu Okimono – Art Object) and red hallmark stamp.
• The custom-made, dark-lacquered wooden pedestal (shiki-dai) for an elegant display.
• The original paper tag on the red metal staff, bearing a spiritual good-wish.
A beautiful, serene, and highly complete collectible for enthusiasts of Asian art and Japanese culture.
