Wellner AlpaDur – Large Art Deco Silver-Plated Serving Tray with Handles – Germany – c. 1935–1955
This elegant large serving tray was produced by the renowned German silversmith Wellner and bears the AlpaDur hallmark, the company's premium-quality silver-plated range. Wellner was one of Germany's leading manufacturers of luxury silverware and supplied both private households and prestigious hotels throughout Europe.
The tray features a refined octagonal shape with clean stepped borders and integrated geometric handles, a design that perfectly reflects the timeless elegance of the Art Deco and early Modernist period. Its restrained decoration and balanced proportions make it equally suitable as a serving tray, bar tray or decorative centrepiece.
Crafted from copper with a durable silver-plated AlpaDur finish, it combines excellent craftsmanship with everyday functionality. The substantial weight further underlines its quality.
