Title: “The Riviera in Bloom”

The composition unfolds in an ascent-like progression, with houses gathered along the slope and immersed in an extraordinary explosion of colors and vegetation.
On the left side, the wide sea stretches into several shades of blue, from the bright turquoise of waters closer to the depths of ultramarine toward the horizon. Small white sails traverse the sea, introducing delicate points of movement within the scene, while a small island or promontory rises in the background beneath a bright sky, crossed by soft white and blue clouds.
The heart of the work is occupied by the characteristic coastal village, built vertically along the hillside. The architectures, rendered through swift and synthetic brushstrokes, feature façades in tones of pink, ochre, yellow, orange and blue, creating a vividly colorful mosaic. In the center stands out a suggestive yellow-gold dome, the dominant element of the composition, flanked by simple-shaped buildings and a bell tower that helps define the town’s silhouette.
Vegetation envelops every free space with an almost exuberant richness. Trees, shrubs and blooms are suggested through textural touches and energetic strokes of green, blue, yellow, red, orange and pink. In the foreground, a lush carpet of pink roses and variegated flowers frames the village, creating a strong contrast with the blue of the sea and sky. The brushstrokes, short and dynamic, give the surface a particular luminous vibrancy, accentuating the sensation of a hot, sun-drenched Mediterranean day.

The work highlights instinctive, luminous, and highly chromatic painting, in which the landscape is reinterpreted through an intense and joyful palette.
