Description from the seller
This spectacular late-19th-century pocket watch embodies the elegance of antique watchmaking through a 46 mm case finely worked in silver with refined gold embellishments. The watch body, weighing 65.5 grams, features a richly engraved back with floral motifs that frame a polished central shield, while the edge is adorned with delicate guilloché work. The white enamel dial is a small decorative masterpiece, enriched by a hand-painted multicolored floral garland at the center and gilded raised indices that add depth to reading the time. The dual numbering, with large black Roman numerals and red Arabic numerals for the 24 hours, pairs perfectly with the intricately pierced hands in an artistic style and the six-o’clock small seconds dial. Functional and carefully preserved, this timepiece represents an exclusive piece able to combine the value of precious metals with the artisanal craftsmanship of the nineteenth century.
