10 volumes - Uniform bindings in half-leather, gold-pressed and decorated spines and marbled boards with gilding on the fore-edge of the book block. circa 5000 pages
This illustrated edition is provided with 48 engravings plates outside the text, after drawings by Philippoteaux.
Complete historical edition in 10 volumes of the extensive work of the French historian Achille de Vaulabelle (1799–1879), dealing with the political and social developments in France from 1813 to the ascension of Louis-Philippe in 1830.
The work covers among other things the fall of Napoleon, the Restoration under Louis XVIII and Charles X, the Hundred Days, the political developments of the Restoration and ultimately the July Revolution of 1830.
The bindings show signs of age and use appropriate to old age. The contents are complete. The 48 illustrations/plates are present. Some light age-related discoloration and/or incidental rust stains may occur.
