Heidsieck & Co Monopole – Large Art Deco Champagne Cooler – Silver-plated – France – c. 1925–1940
A beautiful and authentic Art Deco champagne cooler produced for the prestigious Champagne house Heidsieck & Co Monopole of Reims, one of the oldest and most renowned champagne producers in France.
The cooler is executed in heavy silver plate and features an elegant cylindrical body with refined horizontal bands. The richly cast side handles are decorated with grape clusters and vine leaves, symbolising the heritage of the Champagne region.
The front displays a large embossed emblem reading:
Heidsieck & Co
Champagne Heidsieck & Cie Monopole
Successeur – Reims
Maison Fondée en 1785
This emblem proudly commemorates the foundation of the historic Champagne house in 1785 and reflects the luxurious promotional objects supplied to prestigious hotels, restaurants and wine merchants during the Art Deco period.
The cooler remains highly decorative and perfectly usable for chilling champagne or wine bottles, while also making an elegant statement piece for a refined interior or bar.
