Description of the artwork
With “Fragment Haring – Urban Beat,” Lasveguix revisits the graphic energy of New York street art through his characteristic fragmentation and torn posters.
The work combines an assemblage of urban poster fragments, deliberately torn and superimposed, with a particularly expressive black graphic intervention. The silhouette and graphic signs immediately evoke the dynamic universe of Keith Haring, while remaining integrated into Lasveguix’s personal language.
The contrast between the colorful traces of the posters, the tears, the overlaps and the black drawing creates the impression of a true fragment of a wall torn from the city.
The material deliberately preserves its accidents, its irregularities and its traces of time: each tear thus participates in the composition.
This piece fits perfectly with Lasveguix’s approach: transforming street remnants into contemporary works, between collage, graffiti and urban art.
Unique work created in 2026, sold with its certificate of authenticity.
A FRAGMENT OF THE STREET, AN ENERGY OF NEW YORK
What remains of a poster after its journey through the street?
For Lasveguix, it is not about throwing it away.
He tears it, overlaps it, transforms it and gives it a new life.
In Fragment Haring – Urban Beat, the poster fragments become the memory of an urban wall. On this rough material appears a black, free and rhythmic graphic writing, evoking the energy of New York street art and paying homage to Keith Haring’s universe.
Color belongs to the past of the street.
The gesture belongs to the present of the artist.
Each piece of poster is different, each tear is impossible to reproduce exactly: this piece is therefore truly unique.
An accessible format work, but with a strong visual presence, intended for collectors of street art, collage and contemporary urban art.
Lasveguix (born in 1986) is a French artist whose practice sits at the crossroads of street art, collage and contemporary painting.
Initiated very young in graffiti by his cousin SUOZ, his approach has been built around urban culture and the walls of Paris and London. For more than twenty years, his universe has been interested in the traces left by the city, posters, graffiti and the memory of walls.
Since 2022, Lasveguix gradually transposes this street universe into the workshop. His works combine torn posters, collage, aerosol, acrylic and Posca, giving birth to what he describes as true “wall skins.”
His work dialogues with several major figures of urban and contemporary art, notably Jacques Villeglé, Raymond Hains, Basquiat and Keith Haring, while developing a personal writing based on matter, tearing and overlapping.
Lasveguix also participates in various artistic events and charitable activities, notably around Roland-Garros, District 13 Art Fair and events in Monaco, according to biographies published by sales platforms.
