Jar - Porcelain

A superb Guangxu porcelain jar and its cover, measuring circa 16cm in height and weighing 1099g, decorated in polychrome enamels to depict peonies and foliage, a ruyi scepter wrapped in ribbons to the cover. Marked to the underside with apocryphal Tongzhi reign mark in iron red.

Note: The previous owner put some blue putty between rim and cover to effectuated a "soft close" to the lid. We have left the putty on because it seems like a good idea.

Condition: Excellent, no damages or repairs. Minimal enamel wear.
