Heavy Antique Dutch Brass Umbrella Stand with Beautiful Lion Heads and Diamond Pattern – circa 1900 (46 cm, 3.4 kg)
For sale: an impressive and heavy antique Dutch umbrella stand, crafted around the turn of the century (c. 1880-1920). This imposing object is made of high-quality, solid brass and is finished in the classic Dutch style.
· Gorgeous decoration: The most striking feature of this piece are the two richly detailed lion heads. They are equipped with movable, textured carrying rings and convey a stately and robust appearance. The lion head is a classic symbol of strength and protection.
· Beautiful diamond pattern: The cylindrical body is entirely covered with a hand-driven (repoussé) diamond pattern. This pattern catches the light beautifully and gives the whole piece a deep, vibrant texture.
