Candleholder (2) - Gilt brass

A pair of beautiful neo-Gothic-style candlesticks. Originating from France and probably dating from the late 19th century.

The candlesticks are made of gilded bronze or brass. They stand out for the detailed, open-worked scroll and braid patterns in the arms and the richly decorated, three-legged base.

The 3-armed candlesticks are 39 cm high and 27 cm wide. The base has a width/depth of 11 cm. Each candlestick weighs about 800 grams.
