AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
Fin de siècle (late 80s), he does his 'apprenticeships' in the street through an emerging movement at the time: graffiti. He tags his name on the street, on walls and on trains. Known for his characters and his aerosol signatures, he creates the collective TBS (The Brutal Style) with Skepa and a few other engaged graffiti writers. We know little about him because the artist stays true to the spirit of graffiti and wants to remain anonymous, believing that the work should be highlighted and not the individual. Non-existent on social networks, absent from openings, faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except for a few gallery owners in the confidences. He compares his painting to a piece of Hip Hop, borrowing from Basquiat, Keith Haring, Picasso, Matisse, Andy Warhol or even Bacon, drawing from all painting currents, from Modern to Contemporary through Classical, he acts like a sampler... he samples, cuts, assembles and thus creates new images.

- Mixed techniques: aerosol, pastel and acrylic on canvas
- With certificate of authenticity
