Up for auction is a rare and highly collectible vintage bottle of Lagavulin 16 Year Old Single Malt, bottled during the coveted "White Horse Distillers" era. Thanks to the fully legible laser code on the glass (LLJK02100973), the bottling can be dated precisely to April 10th, 2002, at 09:57.
This is a fascinating "transitional bottling" featuring the classic White Horse labels right before the design was permanently changed by Diageo. It is the scarce US export edition with a 750ml volume status (embossed "U.S." on the base) and features the original, fully intact red US Internal Revenue tax strip around the neck.
Condition: Excellent collector's condition. Labels and capsule are clean and perfectly intact.
Fill level: Outstanding "High Shoulder" / into-neck fill level, proving tight cork sealing and perfect long-term storage.
Packaging: No original box included. Will be shipped in a heavy-duty, professionally padded parcel.
