Italian early 20th‑century brass ice bucket with gilt brass finish, circa 1910–1920, cylindrical body with two side handles, about 17 cm high, 24 cm wide and 16 cm deep, including the ice tong.
Description from the seller
Elegant Italian ice bucket from the early years of the 20th century, made of gilded brass and accompanied by its practical tongs.
The piece stands out for its restrained yet dramatic design, with a cylindrical body slightly flared at the top and two substantial side handles with a characteristic knop shape. The warm golden hue of the brass and the splendid patina developed over time give it authentic charm and a strong decorative presence.
The tongs, with serrated ends to easily grasp ice cubes, complete the set and enhance its original functionality. A refined accessory linked to the elegant ritual of the bar and hospitality of the early 1900s. The tongs are probably not contemporaneous with the bucket but from a later period.
The ice bucket is presented in overall excellent condition, with normal signs of aging, slight oxide and small use marks consistent with its age. These characteristics do not compromise its beauty but attest to its authenticity and long history.
Perfect for enriching a bar cart, a sideboard, a display cabinet or a collection of cocktail accessories, it can also be used as an original bottle holder or a refined decorative element.
