This year 1884 is a historic vintage for the history of science, because it contains crucial publications: Medicine & Microbiology (Louis Pasteur): Contains the fundamental communication 'On Rabies' by Louis Pasteur, Charles Chamberland and Émile Roux (Volume 98, pp. 1229-1231).
