A Kangxi period blue-and-white porcelain plate with prunus blossom, 23 cm in diameter, from China, in good antique condition with a single 2 mm edge chip.

Antique Chinese blue-and-white porcelain prunus plate (23 cm) – Kangxi period (1662-1722)
A beautiful and authentic Chinese blue-and-white porcelain plate from the Kangxi period (1662–1722).
The plate is hand-painted with the beloved and classic 'cracked ice and prunus' decoration (plum blossoms on a cracked-ice background), symbolizing the arrival of spring. Both the central medallion and the wide rim are finely decorated with blossoming branches. The edge of the plate has a fine brown hue with very slight color fading in a few spots, the back is equipped with stylized branches on the outer rim and shows the characteristic, finely finished Kangxi foot rim.

Condition:
