This painting presents an extraordinarily serene landscape, open and bright, where a small stream winds between green and yellow meadows until it disappears in the distance. The composition invites a slow entry into a natural environment dominated by breadth, silence, and freshness. Every element seems arranged to guide the eye toward the interior of the valley, from the watercourse in the foreground to the soft mountains fading beneath a blue-gray sky.

The stream visually begins at the lower left and travels across the scene, forming a sequence of delicate curves. Its waters reflect pale blues, whites, grays, and bluish tones, while darker areas suggest greater depth or the shade of nearby vegetation. The channel acts as a natural path that leads the viewer through the scene, providing continuity and linking the foreground to the more distant areas.

On either side of the water grows abundant vegetation, formed by grasses, shrubs, and small plants in different shades of green.
